Due to Covid restrictions the Friends group were unable to organise the joint schools Remembrance event this year.

However we are delighted that local schools marked the occasion individually.

Wreaths were placed on the Memorial stone by representatives of Castle View Primary School and Central High School.

A small group of pupils from Christ Church School made their own small plaques as you can see in the picture. They also held a short service.  

UU are coming back on 23rd November to complete their work on the Memorial Garden and lowering the raised manhole. They have promised to replace the wreaths and plaques when they finish work.
