It’s Apple Festival Time! Saturday 30th Sept 2-4pm

OK, OK, Don’t worry; the Committee has not gone rogue and started up an apple business on the Field. However the annual Apple Festival at Christ Church is nearly upon us and as…..

a) We have some apple trees

b) Apple Festivals are always good fun

c) It’s a great community event and we have a stall to tell people about our work on the Field

d) We like to support Rev. Carol, as she always supports us when we need her….

Everyone is Invited!

As you can see, there’s a prize for the best apple-based baked product (so even if you haven’t grown the apples yourself, get baking!).

If you have surplus apples from your own trees then bring them along for juicing and make your own delicious apple juice or even scrumpy. (There is a rumour that the Chairman’s scrumpy recipe includes paracetamol – we cannot imagine why!).

Even if you don’t have any apples of your own, come along and marvel at the variety of this great British fruit. More than 2,500 varieties are said to have originated in Britain. We cannot promise so many at Christchurch but there are almost bound to be some weird and wonderful apples that you haven’t ever seen before.

Come along and support this great annual community event – see you there!
